The ending must be soon though, also at this stage in the plot you really would have expected more substance and growth, not just Jiwon cumming on DG's face.

They've been dating for a few weeks at this point in the story, that's why Tanya wanted to know how they're doing at school. There's going to be no holiday near three weeks long during a semester in Korea.

Yep, the way the author has portrayed it is that they just have been having sex since the ' I love you". Really, is this the best the author could do in terms of rounding off the plot? One minute it's the busy start of term, DG also working at the shop at night, and then suddenly they are in a hotel for days, weeks even? Why not flesh out this time gap, show things an explain things that are a little more important than Jiwon coming on DG's face and DG showing he literally has no self worth. Where are the proper conversations, where is showing them out and about in their normal daily lives acting like a normal couple and showing normal non-sexual affection like holding hands or socializing with each other at uni? Are they just going to hide they are together from everyone, with everyone still thinking they are straight? Wouldn't Jiwon's boss be contacting him as to why he has stopped broadcasting? Maybe address the practicalities of this, like a loss in income and having to end thing with the fans? Honestly we know this is just going to end with some cliche date with a late birthday cake and Jiwon throwing his mask away in dramatic yaoi fashion.
Sigh, I feel like all Korean yaois kind of start amazingly but I have yet to find one that truly carries through until the end. That's a pity considering how much potential BJ Alex had. I still think it's great and the art is beautiful, just not as great as it could be.
It does come off as most lezhin webtoons just focus on the run up to the "confession" and primarily on sex, often non-consensual. Throw in a lot of drama, miscommunication and fanny's your aunt. Very rarely do they show life as a couple, for the characters and the people that surround them after this. It is very shallow writing, that completely glosses over anything substantial or relative to the realities of life the characters would face after the "I love you". Maybe the author might surprise us all and have Jiwon and DG together at uni, with Jiwon introducing DG to his friends as his partner... doubt it though.
In my opinion, Lover Boy is very good from the beginning till the end. It's the best manhwa I read so far, and the only one that didn't have a rushed, weird or stupid ending.
Dark Heaven's ending was great
Dark heaven showed marriage, but it still was set in a 'fantasy" setting rather than relating it to a more tangible environment. BJ Alex we know is set in Korea, ditto Lover boy. They blend in realistic aspects such as military service etc so having a comic with such a "realistic" setting to actually cover 'realistic" aspects of gay life in the country, bar just smut, such as the laws, such as social tolerance/or lack of it would make for a better tale. In Lover boy for example, it ended with a proposal, but the characters can't actually get married, what would their feelings be towards this, what legal security would they put in place instead, what would the consequences of not being able to get married be etc... the extra chapters of lover boy I feel were disapponting, as it never really explored anything of substance, instead it was mostly smut and the cliche insecurity trope.

Well I REALLY don't like how this continues.They proceed to be all sexy and lovey dovey and DG forgave Alex way too easily .I don't like that tbh...
So the chapter begins with jiwon and DG talking.In fact Jiwon starts to explain all that happened to DG (but all this is presented to us by DG s POV,there is not an actual conversation that we can read and understand stuff and this makes me mad !).When he is finished DG starts shouting and repeating to him "I love you ,I love you ".They end up having sex (in a motel ).The scene is very sexy indeed (Jiwon comes all over his face xD).In the end they are having a bath together .DG is still a little embarrassed.He admits he cant believe he is with jiwon and that he was his first love ever .Jiwon asks :"What ?I am your first love ?"Then he asks DG when it's his birthday (it was 29 August )Jiwon thinks that his birthday date has passed but proposes to DG to go on a date together for his birthday.
As I said this is all very cute but I wanted more explanation from Jiwon !Also what happened with his show ??
And DG s friend ?Did he learn about them ?The new chapter concerns many days so DG can't be only with Alex all this time !How was his university time going ?!
