Awfull is that Diesel with crying face lies to Yanek, how much he is important for him, what he could endure for him and that he never lies to him. Yanek trys protect Diesel secret and risks his life for him, so he deserves to know, that he is in danger.

I believe Yanek's relationship with Diesel is dub-con at best, he doesn't look out for Diesel, he's just interested in the benefits. It looks more like Diesel's life is a long line of Stockholm syndrome than actual real love.
And I understand Diesel's reasoning. A bad guy who rescues you from a bad situation is still a bad guy, but the victim may see them as a savior. I've read a GREAT story with the same theme, and I think there is this undertone here.
And if I was in Diesel's situation? Yeah, I'd also lie. I believe you can have important people in your life, and they still are bad people.
Seriously read about stockholme syndrome before you use this definition, which you don't know what it means. Diesel could have only SS towards priest. Diesel isn't victim of Yanek, so we can't say about something like that here #－.－)
Diesel doesn't loves Yanek and doesn't care about him.
Diesel is also bad guy, cause he killing people. That means nothing for story. Also Yanek risks his life for Diesel and trys protect him.

The comment section is actually a big OOF. i don’t understand why everyone is hating on Diesel for not warning Yanek, like wth??? Yanek is a criminal. He sells drugs and he is involved in HUMAN TRAFFICKING. I get that Diesel should be grateful that Yanek saved him and all of that but that doesn’t mean that diesel is now an AWFUL character. There’s the good and the bad to each character but for some reason Diesel is now seen as some kind of “villain” for not protecting a drug dealer????
