If you wanted boring, clichéd romance then there are plenty of other stories like that out there for you. This story is progressing the way it NEEDS to. Not the author's fault you can't see that.
I was in total agreement with you up until you made the common annoying assumption that the story is annoying because you don't get world building or subtle hints.
subtle foreshadowing and world building is not annoying. Ive read plenty of stories with fantastic world building because it was well done. This world building is just a giant wall of information all at once with barely any forward movement in the plot besides what? Character introduction? Bland monologing from the mc? Sure, you can say this story needs to introduce all of this information to make sense, but I'm sure they could've found a way to do this that was easier to absorb.
honestly i dont even know any real spoilers but i still think she's just so.. dumb sometimes lol. Like when she was talking about sword training until u hurt ur hands? Literally anybody who trains with swords does that and gets callouses, it's not as ridiculous as she makes it out to be. i really dont know how much longer i can read this, all it's been in these latest chapters exposition which isn't bad if done subtly. But all this exposition is just putting the whole story to a halt and its honestly boring lmao rip i was rooting for u
