I agree. It takes seconds to send a text that says "I'm really freaking busy right now but ILU and I hope you're okay!!"
Or "hey, sorry I couldn't reply all day. I just got home" or "I'm about to sleep" or even "hey, slr. Going to sleep now." That would have been reassuring enough! I don't think the younger boy would have felt so insecure if he just replied properly!
Fucking reply! Tell you reasons why you're late or at least try to be on time when you meet up! At least reply even just once, at the end of the day. Even before you sleep. Heck, if you just reply to his text messages or call once, you don't even have to meet up every morning. Are you freaking serious he's the one who keeps trying to communicate with you but he's the one who's feeling ashamed??? Oh my god
