Chapter 6 **ok im think im tripping
The main character has had relationships with people in the mean time, that's what it means. Obviously because the person he loved was straight and casually married to a woman. So it's normal that he moved on, got into relationships (more like fuck buddies), and most probably that dude who kissed him was his ex-boyfriend.
