    but is he? seems to me like hes going to get all the information he can but is starting to accept his feelings a bit and so its more like he just wants to be most well-equipped to make things as safe/easy for his vampire bae.

    I mean that evil guy wants the vampire dude to be depressed and uncomfortable. It feels like the mc is just waltzing right into his plans but idk
