I normally skip past long comments but I'm sincerely glad (odd wording, I know), that I stuck it out for yours. (●'◡'●)ノ
The latter stories didn't get me to a point of crying, BUT I did go
"Oh! Woah! Ohhh! Holy Crap! Wow, that's f-cked up! WHY? Ugh....that's sad!"....and so on.
Soooooo, thankful they all had a relatively HAPPY ending.
Okay, now the tears! (/TДT)/
Wow... Give me a few seconds to sort my thoughts after reading this... (deep breath)
Okay. When I started reading this I thought it would be all fluffy and hot stuff. But no, was I wrong. As the chapters went by, the stories kinda went darker.
The first one with the idol and his fan was really cute. The sexy scenes are hot too. I really thought the whole manga would have a tone like this.
The second story was cute in its own way - it was obvious the rich guy liked the other guy from the start. Seeing them progress in their relationship was really cute.
Now, chapter 3-4 is what fucked me up. Seeing the title, and a scene from the "future" from the start made me go "oh, it's that kind of story. I know what's gonna happen here so I guess it won't be too bad".
Big mistake.
At first, reading through it I really didn't like the black haired guy, as I don't really like those creepo guys that confine people because of their "twisted love". But then when I reached that part where we see that he could only write in hiragana, I felt something was off.
Reading further, and then we see Akihito starting to feel things because of Hajime. I merely thought "okay, so it's finally happened" and thought that yeah stockholm syndrome, they end up happy anyways so wtever ig. but Nope, wrong again. Hajime's story was revealed. And honestly this is a twist I've never seen before. It was painful to read. And it's painful to write about it too so I'll just say that it's messed up and while Akihito was a bastard, he made his own sacrifice too. It doesn't make up for what he did though and it's better than what Hajime went through... But if the two of them have got their past scars healed by each other, then I guess it's fine, seeing as they'll be together in the future as well.
And now the last story. Oh boy.
This one has another surprise (boy this mangaka sure loves their twists and turns. and I'm honestly victim to it but I like it) and if not for the previous chapter that had such an emotional impact on me, I would've been sobbing over this chapter too.
Anyway, I found it nice that there are characters that did some genuinely dislikeable stuff (aki pointing hajime to the predator bastard; and what setona did after making jin's clone himself... it was just selfish imo) ...well aside from the usual rape trope. I felt like it was a bold move from the mangaka to make main charas do stuff that makes them hateable, and I admire it(?) lmao
All of the stories in this manga are interesting and unique. They're intriguing and really, just... yeah. me writing something this long is proof that I've read something beyond my usual two brain cells' comprehension again.
That's it! In short, this was a wild ride. It had its unpredictable turns but it was enjoyable nonetheless. (thanks for coming to my ted talk)
