it was a nice manga and I liked it although I liked You're My Princess better(a bit better plot and it didn't have this kind of heavy shit in it). That scene just degraded the whole manga for me (by at least 1 if not 2 stars). I get why they did it - for dramatic effect - but as you said that scene just without the attempted rape would be enough for that purpose. To me it didn't belong to this kind of manga, which it's more fluff&sweet kind of no-brainier type of BL. it was like a splash of cold water on a warm spring day. Don't get me wrong, I can read rape in BL manga, depending on my mood and story I may even like it, but again it depends on the story. This one was definitely not that kind of manga.
I also hated that they just glossed over it. If they had the bad idea to do it, they should at least have the balls to stick with it and show that uke was not over it in a sec and that seme was supportive. Heck, they could leave all of it the same and just add one line: that the seme was waiting with sexy stuff out of consideration for the uke and his traumatic experience. At least it would be something(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

it would have been fine if in ch.4 that guy just came on to him or was vaguely physical..seeing that attempted rape scene was just...unnecessary.
