I am attracted to Sungho but Dohyun is forever my fave. Maybe best uke of all time. He's foul-mouthed, so self-absorbed and sometimes downright cruel, manipulative and takes advantage of people...but I still can't help but be charmed by him. In his own way, he is kind of pure in his feelings lol. Also love how he refuses to take shit from anyone, even if it's only in his own head that he fights back. Whatever happens in the plot I will always treasure the scene after the birthday sex when he punches Sungho and totally verbally eviscerates him...
Yess! My thoughts exactly. I love it when he says "Is rape the only way you can express your feelings?" Drag him, Dohyuh! XD
And when he flinches when Sungho is shaving him and gets cut. He just has a smirk on his face and says 'sorry' so unconvincingly.
He's such a refreshing change to the usual uke.
My favorite is Sungho. He is the 'villain' in this story, the one raping and abusing the other guy and he still manages to look like to me like a sad puppy lost in the rain. I don't remember reading other story where actions and demeanor are so opposite.
I look at this eyes and I see a pure soul ... imagine that, being that twisted, that damaged and insane and still look like he is the purest of them.
That's a contradiction that I can't explain and that's what I call talent in creating a character.
Yes, I love that too! His character design is really great, he can somehow look really innocent and then very threatening. I really like how he seems weirdly naiive as well ... things like writing in his rape diary about how Dohyun is depressed (well duh! He's being held captive and raped all the time!), or when he's surprised when Dohyun starts crying and tries to comfort him. It's one of the things that makes Warehouse such an interesting comic.
Quick poll, which character do you prefer and why?
Mine is Dohyun, partly because he can be such a dick. I love how he has so much fight in him and he still mouths off at his rapist/captor instead of being completely cowed.
