maybe i missed something but what does assimilation mean in chapter 38?

I think it was explained at the beginning sonething like using a special pheromone to call a vampires prey/kin down before blood sucking (? As far as i understood may be wrong english isn't my first language sorry)

Minhoon collapsed at the end of chapter 15 and they explain it in chapter 16.
