No, Yuri has been almost entirely absent in season 1.5. The geography teacher is lightly flirting with him.
Okay, here's my prediction. The author is keeping Yuri quiet because S2 is going to be his story, that's why there's a S1.5. Yuri is probably going to give up on his love, and instead something will happen with the geography teacher. However, the teacher-student relationship will be too difficult and Yuri will probably end up with someone else.
