depends on the omegaverse imo, soulmates are cute but getting together simply because your body is attracted to their pheromones/genes is absolutely ridiculous
Kashikomarimashita, Destiny has a great dual contrast between its two main pairings. The first is, of course, the rumoured "fated pair". Predictably, they get together. The second fights this "destiny" because the pairing is an alpha/beta.
There's just something romantic to the point that it's idealistic that there's someone out there in the world for you. Cosmic fates aside, instincts in the omegaverse aren't a particularly great way to be bound to someone. It's all rather animalistic, really. Though it really depends on the author-- the rules of their world work differently from another. Some might even equate "fated pair" to "soulmate".
yeah ikr, i mean it really is romanticising the omegaverse trope, and yeah, i totally depends on the author but still, this animalistic desire is something that is totally up my alley. can't deny it. (of course, not saying that that alpha/beta pair in Kashikomarimashita isn't cute) i just have a preference ╮(￣▽￣)╭ that unfightable desire is just so... delicious i must say hahaha! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Fair enough, we all have something we like that might differ from someone. Like how I have a thing for wholesome content such as fluff or aftercare. And bara bottoms.
Get with that older brother!! I love the idea of fated pairs so much it's ridiculous!! Although some might argue and say "love" wins but sorry, I totally support fated pairs... though of course it sucks if they don't like the fated pair so I try to avoid those manga T_T
