Both of Bum's parents are long dead... One of the reasons for his uncle treating him like that was because he wanted to get back at his parents, but with them dead Bum was the best substitute, 'cause his parents were no longer around.

I'm sorry my memory sucks,But could someone answer me one question:Are Bum parents still alive?I mean,they only shown his uncle and his grandma,but i don't recall ever mentioning them that they are dead.This things dropped on my mind when they announced to entire public of Korea about Sang woo and his murders,i mean now everybody knows about that and yet....neither of them came to the hospital to see Bum while even the mom of that murdered girl came to the hospital to give him her support(God i can't explain how heartbreaking that part wasi mean to call it sad would be an udnerstatement)
