Jian yi dissappears on the second day of high school and sometime later he comes back to xixi s house covered with blood (thats the first chapt) for around 30 chapters they goof around then suddenly time changes and poof they are in middle school story keeps from there
But the Christams chapters are set even after that. And the Spring festival chapters too. Unlike the prologue, they seems happy there and that would mean that Old Xian abandoned the original 'sad ending'

wow i'm wondering about that story when jianyi disappeared for years and xixi got so pissed off when he appeared again. maybe old xian dropped this idea?
