wtf why the police is involved? I didn't understand... but i love it so much

The yellow eyed guy was so worried MC was leaving him because he wasn't responding to his texts and calls (only once). He probably didn't went home because of that. The yellowed eye's parents must have been worried so they immediately contacted the police.
