I actually have been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome by a family therapist. But I'm not fragile enough to be offended, I'm high functioning anyways (only effects the way i look at things at times and some maneurisms). Just thought it'd be a point of interest. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
My mother is an Occupational therapist, and honestly austism is fairly common in many varying degrees, I just don't understand why that was brought up at all. It was just weird, to be honest. I gave a thumbs down on the post because it seems like the user was saying it like a random insult, which I did not like at all. Hopefully it was an autocorrect error. Otherwise it's just frickn random and rude to use autism as an insult
It's become a meme, that's why. I'm assuming, anyways. I don't really mind the meme, tbh, but this came across just kinda distasteful BECAUSE there was no context. It's not like they said "autistic screeching" or something along the lines, they just straight up said "you're autistic". It's like they were trying to invoke the meme, but the way they said it came across as an anti-joke instead. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
