This is honestly one of my favorites from this genere. There's no fucking main characters acting like complete assholes, and it's *refreshing*! Cesar was never a bad guy and the original heroine just wanted freedom.
There's so many of these lately where the characters have done HORRIBLE stuff, and the author afterwards expect the readers to merely forgive it, since it was in "another life" and "this time it's different", but that's complete bullshit imo.
