Basically the author could go to jail for even depicting homosexual relationships. Another author got something like 10 years for writing a book (yes there was explicit sex scenes) with a homosexual couple. China is being very very strict with anything homosexual/gay

It's actually gotten worse there over the years not better. I thought with times changing and gay marriage being legalized in different countries, even in asia, China would become a bit more open. Sadly that isn't the case :( Look up Lady Tianyi and you'll see the story about it
