Jessica and Henry both agree that Sam isn't the brightest and openly call his stupid. So most likely he didn't question their relationship.

Honestly i wouldn't mind if Sam where to be the one he ends up with, but there's just something off about him. Sam could've known all this time that Henry liked him, and that just makes me not like him
