Craig has more wordy experience of sex and dating and can be more realistic. The Director seems to not, so he's falling hard and deep with his first love.
At this point it's more accurate to say the Director likes what Craig makes him feel rather than loving the man himself...awesome sex, butterflies in tummy, warmth in the chest, calmness and stability, forgetting his duties momentarily, etc. Cuz yeah they hardly know each other lol

Im so happy to see people evolving with this genre of manga. Yes,its made by women for women, but lately i see replies like these and it makes me feel better. Even the mangas themselves are changing, some of them dealing with actual lgbtq issues and trying to make more fleshed out, realistic characters such as craig

I agree with this, but I also want to add that as uncomfortable as it is I also feel that him confessing is realistic, knowing what he's been through. From the little we know about director it seems he's never really had someone that has treated him well without ulterior motives. Then, he finds the Craig and takes a bit of interest in him, and that interest pays off with Craig being genuinely nice to him. This is probably the first positive connection he's ever really experienced with someone and he has mistaken it for love. I don't blame him for that, as long as he can realize his mistake at some point. Hopefully, the near future.

I love Craig, and I get why Director fell hard. Considering all the crazy violent shit Director has dealt with, someone kind and gentle and humble and loyal to his little brother and unselfish, he's refreshing, a light. Plus he never felt these feelings ever before. Craig's just a good guy whose had shitty luck. I want him happy.
I felt a bit uncomfortable with him saying he loves craig. They are strangers. Craig took a much more realistic approach and in general seems more real a character than anyone else. He doesnt do all that basic yaoi stuff,he is hardworking and actually uses his brain
