Yeah...I can accept that maybe he really was a pathetic boyfriend, neglecting her and never prioritsing her and not really making any effort, but...
I mean, she's dating a guy who's raising a kid, and she's an adult, it's obvious he SHOULD come first, and it also shouldn't just be OK that he has to volunteer LEAVE just so she'll be OK staying with him. It felt like a pretty terrible foreshadowing of what she'd be like about any future problems, too...
