A few years back I couldn't finish this because I was young and stupid and hated the MC's character cos he kept fucking up his relationships. However I went back to finish it and despite some minor plot-holes, this was one of the most realistic in terms of human emotions in a webtoon/manga and how the author portrayed the complexity of a relationship. It's never sunshine and rainbows all the time.
It may have been annoying that he couldn't just be happy with Chun Sam, however y'all gotta keep in mind. Min Gyeom (MC) has suffered from neglect, been shown love only to be neglected again, used as a blood bank, has experienced love again only to find out he was a replacement. I understand why he did what he had to do to protect his fragile self. The author was right to depict Min Gyeom as self-destructive. The amount of trauma he has received over years isn't going to disappear because of one guy even if it's his lover.
