It's a different sort of anger... where you feel disdained and overlooked. What he hurt was her vanity and, as a dignified person, she cannot forgive that too easily. Plus, the person himself has never actually apologized or shown some shred of remorse. We haven't even seen him again!
I don't think he hurt her vanity, but her pride. Since he literally dismissed her as unimportant due to the fact that she wasn't "beautiful" I can definitely see how she was angry. Although I do think that they didn't mention it enough.
she still keeps going on about how she was angered by that prince but i don't remember seeing that much anger in her eyes, only disappointement. am i the only one to think that? (〜￣△￣)〜
