I mean... Harley and the Joker.....The dynamic is weird but I don't think it's impossible. A lot of people can have a complex or desire to save those who they view as "troubled". Also, he is very charismatic and we see killers like him in real life who have fan clubs too. With all that being said, I agree with you that the therapist is very very dumb and unprofessional for falling in love with a killer.

the therapist is so fucking strange like how do you meet a patient who tells you he's a serial killer and then you just?? fall for him? No matter how much "help" you give him, he's still a murderer who by no means killed anyone by accident or anything? he's still a goddamn criminal and it's his job to report that shit
