The prince (or is he now king) looks like a bad person, but I feel there is more than that, I feel he is not that bad nor evil and there is a good reason what he did... and maybe he will love his niece and teach her what the correct way to do everything... well... we will see in the future!!!
...I think he's just interested in getting back the ability of forming contract with spirits....
But who knows, being optimistic never hurts
I feel so bad for the villain's daughter. She got dragged into a mess her mother made. I hope the uncle doesn't try to make her like her mother tho.
