That's my opinion too... Because in some BL mangas its a common trope... Seme reminded by a Senpai, afterwards Uke feels dismayed and Later turns out that Uke is the senpai that the seme is talking about ...

Tho it's Hotta is the one who was shown as I'll-date-you-but-I-don't-really-like-you, I think still he will be the one that would be hurt the most. The senpai that was kept mentioning by Kashiwagi is bothering me. I would think, later on when Hotta started to develop feelings for him and love him then found out that he was liked by Kashiwagi because he was reminded of his senpai, would make Hotta feel even more pathetic of himself...I can't （/TДT)/ , this would break my heart for Hotta.. tho this is just my personal assumption..
