Everyone with status has concubines. Imperial Concubine means she is the Emperor's concubine, aka the queen. When the Emperor dies, she will become Empress Dowager, aka queen mother. Yuri will be the new Imperial Concubine (IF Prince Bright becomes Emperor. If not, then she'll remain Princess Bright).
They have specific titles to tell them apart, unless you're just a no-name concubine. Thats why all these women want to kill ppl off in order to elevate and/or retain their status.

Ok a lot of people got different answers...but this is my understanding....the emperor has many wife's.. empress... queen...and concubine...the empress is #1...the queen is the wife tha is to help the empress keep control..while the concubine are just spares... if the empress and queen die then the concubine becomes the one on top......but she had no real power if the king still lives or if the crown price has an empress...
