When a victim either falls in love or considers it ok for their offender to abuse them. They justify in their minds that it's ok because of reasons like, their offenders 'need' them and 'care' for them. You can look up Cinderella Syndrome on Google and its relation to crime.

Why would it be called "Cinderella" I'm curious. If it is based of the Cinderella story then that doesn't make sense cuz she didn't think it was ok to be abused by her step sisters right? Do you know why it's called that.

Hi I didn't say she had Cinderella syndrome but that she might develop it. Check it out on google what it means.:) basically it is when the victim becomes accepting with their current situation or develop an unconscious desire to be taken care of and starts having fear of independence. Normally they cannot break past this psychological thinking without an outside force (Fair Godmother in the Cinderella Story). Check out some articles on google.

Thanks I've never heard of Cinderella syndrome so I didn't quite understand what it was that's why I asked but your reply was sufficient enough to give me a basic understanding of what exactly it is.
