Well, I might be one of few people that doesn't bother by the pace of this story. I think the author does a good job by introducing new characters and give them their own spotlight, a slow progression and make them take human decisions... I mean, misunderstandings happen, even more when you don't really know where you're standing (reffering to own feelings/ the other person's feelings) that insecurity always hits. And I DON'T think that "concentrate in the main relationship", the "MCs interaction" "progress the main relationship" and then move onto the others, it's the only valid way to narrate. I find it way more fun when there are many characters and all of them, at the same time, have their own pace to progress, because all of them are their own individuals, therefore, they all take differents decisions in similar situations. Also, the variety in personalities and ages is so interesting to me !
I don't find it dramatic the way the mc's relationship is going lol, I find it cute, maybe a little frustrating, but since I had been in that place of not being sure what the fuck was going on with this guy (( who I've been dating for two years))... idk I kind of relate???
irrelevant conclusion: I totally love and support djuns narrative choice and character development. yayyy
I loooove slow burn stories. I'm totally with you! The pacing is great! I want to know about the lives and motivations of these characters- and see them develop over time- not just 0 to 100 makeout thoughtlessly.
