I gotta admit, I hate Tianshan's relationship at first because He Tian was clearly bullying Shan. But as the story progresses, there is a clear development in the dynamics between them. I went back to read the series and realized it might have been the author's intention all along:
He Tian was interested in Jianyi at first - not necessarily romantically since he knew Jianyi liked Zhengxi, but he was intrigued nonetheless. Shan got into a fight with Jianyi, which made Tian antagonistic towards Shan at first. Thus he bullied Shan out of spite and revenge. I remember a chapter where he said things like you deserved it or something like that. He would call Shan over to order him around.
The turning point of their relationship is the chapter where Tian kissed Shan just to spite him. Shan didn't react too nicely (he cried), which stunned He Tian. Tian didn't expect Shan's reaction and probably realized that Shan was more innocent (?) than he'd thought. After that chapter I noticed that Tian was much nicer to Shan (saving him from She Li's framing etc.) Instead of ordering Shan to come to him, Tian would go to find Shan first. And from then on he became more and more interested in Guanshan, eventually falling in love with him.

That's my two cents lol.
