I really don't get any "walk on water" feeling here. Mc Queen would lay things clearly to get a consent and keep his word about what's going to happen. The guy here took advantage of the boy.
I did like the other work of John though

    it's not supposed to be. the man isn't the owner of a porn company, he owns a brothel (which is also probably run by gangsters given the fact that MC described his group as rather a band of thugs). MC also needs money desperately and that man is his "boss" so he technically can't ignore him either.

    Yes I agree. I read the comments before reading the comic and saw many comparisons to "walk on water" which I realised weren't accurate after I actually read it. Hense what I commented.

    It was about making sex industry glamorous and sexy when in fact it's not, it's shady and dark.
    The 2 stories are different but have one common point : both ukes became sex workers because of money, they wouldn't resort to pornography or prostitution otherwise.
