Some people actually posted spoilers here in comments and from what I read (based from my memory) is that Gusam will take the blame from what Suchae did to the old man. He was ready to go to jail but Suchae insisted. After that, they went to the sea together ( i forgot why did they do that , sorry ) and the detective spotted them and went to the sea. The detective spotted them at the sea and pointed a gun to them and there was a gunshot. The author's note confirmed that Gusam was shotted and was dead. Lol, sorry if this is confusing my mind went blank and my heart stopped when i read that comment. I hope this will helped (=・ω・=)
