That’s why I got into yoai too! Years ago I just got fed up with all those girls who were just so helpless and always had to have the guy save them and they couldn’t figure anything out for themselves.

No but I’ve read good mangas with girl mcs but it’s still a bit hard to find. Somehow boys are always better, More well written, and it’s not because Of my sexual orientation cause I’m not straight. But yeah I want more badass, smart, i want mangakas to have a more diverse palette of female characters

I’ve read a few with some good female leads Light& Shadow is good and Joou No Hana. But yeah it’s hard to come by. Or they have ones that over composite and just have really strong women. So it’s nice to see once that still balance that. Artre is another good manga because it’s about a woman wanting to be a painter, but that is mainly a male profession so she struggles. So there are some out there it’s just a little hard to find and they might not be the mainstream or popular mangas.

Here are school romances, Beaty Pop, Oresama Teacher, Cat Street and W-Juliet. But my favorite is My ID is Gangnam Beauty because in it they have real women that deal with insecurities and it makes me think about why women feel pressured to make themselves beautiful.
