The first promise that is resolved very quickly I'd that they'll be "cool coffee drinking geezers in the future".

If he truly wants to break up he would've left their apartment right away, seeing his personality. At least that's my take of this story
I still don't know why Kusaka wanted to break up.. He said Mikuriya broke his promise but what promise? Is it that he hid going back home to Kusaka's father????
