I don't know the reason in this story because I haven't read the novel yet, but I read Observation Record of a Self-proclaimed Villainess’ Fiance twice and is one of my favorites!!!

What I love is that the narrative is from the prince (a target) point.of view... the girl is a little ... emmm... a lot... naive, but I love the story and hownit is written. Also it is complete!!!

Her reason for wanting to fall into a ruin is based on long term planning. It's not necessarily based on modern knowledge, more on her knowledge of politics and history of her current world.

Just want to point this out. She doesn't love the guy, right?
Compared to other novels with a similar plotline. Every female lead uses the knowledge of their past life to avoid ruin and in doing so they change the entire story. Making the man they want to avoid actually fall in love with them. Shes playing it smart tbh. Follow the original storyline and afterwards when everything is done...live life how you want to.life beyond the game itself.
Bonus, if shes ruined and has been stripped of whatever title she has or family ties...i know for a fact, she'll definitely be able to marry that damn butler. My ultimate ship

It does make sense in this case. She doesn't want to bother trying to change the way the plot is meant to go, as she sees this as being impossible, so instead of fighting it and losing regardless, she wants to have fun with it and enjoy the ride instead.

How does it not? If you know something is absolutely unavoidable, some would definitely not bother trying to change the inevitable and instead make the most of the present and just have fun with it.

so what i judged her character by what i read is that not ok my judgement can always change when i see that her character evolves and changes until then i stand by what i say its not sensible to want to fall into ruin obviously i wouldn't know that there is a reason for her ways because it doesn't say IN THE MANGA i wouldn't know at all if y'all weren't telling me so of course I'm gonna make my judgement off of what is put out.

Sorry mates all I can imagine is a person watching a show who reacts to whatever is on scene right now. Some people think ahead of what might happen or think of the reasons a person is doing whatever. Some people even like reading a situation far deeper than that.
