That’s kinda right but this thing has only been happening for like 1-3 weeks I consider that pretty fast considering what they have to do.
They may have a time skip. If I was writing this, I'd do one of two things.
1. Time skip to another mission when they are more experience and that is near another character development event
2. Time skip to the end of their growth and exposition dump, then continue with the next arc.
If this one quest, their first quest, is taking forever to finish, how long will it take for them to get to that final boss phase?
