Um I think what happened was the coach said that he was disgusting for liking a guy, he got mad and punched him, then got a flashback to when he got accused of liking another guy and the guy switching on him so he had to drop.

just to clarify, the one calling Da Ye Ge disgusting was a student (team captain, he looks old, I know). They are then scolded by a coach in the infirmary. The high school flashback and monologue after that are Da Ye Ge's.
