Wenxu expected zhihu will be panicked after losing the ring which is most important to him but he laughs - which implied he didn't care anymore like what wenxu did once . Which shocked him.Also by laughing zhishu tried to pass it off as a small thing of no importance

Why did Xiaoshu laugh when he was asked about his ring? Does it mean he was trying to get in with the joke. Or that he realized he didn't look for it? Or that he felt like a heavy shackle was lifted from him????
