i think its because the ex deleted all of his contacts other than him.
theres a scene where his ex just deletes all of his contacts + others so it was probably cause his contact would've been deleted anyways

nonono i think your reasoning makes sense to think that way as well. mine was just a quick analysis after something clicked when i was thinking back on why chika never took his contact details if he was fond of kou and fell in love with him because kou seemed to be fond of chika as well (as he was the one who offered the contact details)

I'm pretty sure some pages are missing because I read it before. The ex took chiaki's phone and deleted every contact except his, and pretty much monopolized chiaki's phone. That's why chiaki couldn't add anyone else as a contact while they were "together"
