he did? okey then, also, i just can't agree with u, he told him that he only wants to play around and their last time talking he was telling him to stay the way he is, an easy pry... and for an author that knows and is writing about traumas, r they stupid enough to cure a trauma with anther? tho i know from where your misunderstanding start about the so called rape trope, i am not gonna explain unless u ask but in conclusion, there is no author , editor, etc stupid enough to agree on such simple in-thoughtful idea...
First of all, there are a LOT of authors/editors/companies who has and will write such non-thoughtful ideas. How many yaoi mangas that build the romantic relationship of the MCs based on rape/abuse? A lot. There are a lot of shitty gay mangas/flicks out there written and sold just to satisfy straight women's sexual fantasies--no matter how demeaning or damaging it was for gay community.
Second of all, obviously idk this author enough, and i admit i was wrong to assume their true intention. But what this manga (and raws) implied to me is that tengoku was helping aoki overcome his trauma, eventhough so far what he did was raping and abusing him. This can be seen by how aoki seemed to feel better after some of (non-consensual, let me remind you) sexual encounters with tengoku. And we can see that aoki repeatedly relate those sexual encounters with his mom's abuse.
The author might want to say that aoki could overcome his past trauma because tengoku helped him "rewrite" his memories with his mom, so he found out that pain can be associated with something good too. And I would have agreed with that, IF tengoku and aoki consensually fell into a proper bdsm relationship. But they didn't. Tengoku raped aoki and repeatedly called him a toy, ignored his demands, etc. Of course the author didn't say outright that "trauma can cure trauma" but it is what implied here. Because the fact remains that tengoku did abuse aoki, and aoki did feel better after tengoku raped him.
This has been done countless of time. There are tons (and i mean, TONS) of other yaoi mangas which excuse rape and abuse in gay relationship. Those authors usually give some kind of backstory/reasons so that we readers can forgive those behavior easily. For example, abusive/bullying boyfriends are usually depicted as someone with hurtful past, so that we can sympathize with them and excuse their behavior. Rape is usually depicted as an act done out of one sided love. And so on.
This manga is the same---tengoku raped aoki, but aoki felt better after it. And tengoku did have a hurtful past (in the raws), so we should sympathize with him. None of tengoku's action towards aoki gets proper consequences/repercussions. What happens in the end is that aoki gets cured of this trauma and falls in love with tengoku. Which is a load of bullshit imho.
And this is exactly where I said u should ask... I do agree with what u want the manga to be but not even once that snake had said that he wants to help, and no, aoki is still saying that these things should happen with the person u like only, not to let go of the fact the u should not generalize this manga story or any manga, each work stands for it self... and therefore should be finished before throwing judgment!
u don;t need the raws, look, aoki never felt comforted by sex, he was told again and again to be him self, not like what his mother asked him to be, this is why he likes the nurse, and on the rape topic, he keeps saying that something like this only happens with those u love, meaning he still does not see him as a partner and if as u said , aoki would find comfort in sex , then upon his standards, it's not this sex...

Gave the manga a chance despite the underage and rape (which i extremely hate) but..... the author just went and made tengoku exploited aoki's childhood trauma? And from psychological standpoint, how the fuck is it going to help him heal? How is raping and abusing someone "cure" their fear of abuse itself? Had tengoku offered help to aoki, discussed the terms, and the two consensually fell into a bdsm relationship properly, then it would have made more sense. But here tengoku just treated aoki like absolute shit, and we're supposed to believe that it helped him? No thanks.
