It's just polite to at least text somebody if you can't make an appointment. That is pretty much all it is. If the seme had sent a quick, "sorry bro something came up, lets hang out next time" text no one would feel sorry for the brother. It would barely take a minute.

Siblings. LOL. It's a thing. I'm 6 years older than the middle sibling and 12 years older than my youngest sibling. Sometimes when they can't open up to the parents they come to you. SO yeah he really should have given his big bro a heads up, but I wouldn't say a panel of him voicing displeasure at being stood up is super annoying. Then again I am also reading BL motel and the little brother in that story is super out of line and super needy.
