Many times in the comic, Tooru mentions how he likes her for her personality. Her being his type was a plus. If anything the fact that she is his type adds to personality. Rumi wasn't disgusted by how he likes lolis which is why he started to feel for her but his feelings developed even more after becoming friends. Even their friends acknowledge how even though they're each others types, they like each other purely for who they are. He doesn't like lolis that way and doesn't like any 3D girls besides Rumi.
Oh btw u mean a loli-con and there is a difference. Tooru is a loli-con not just a child-lover.
I want people to stop calling him a pedo he likes lolis in the same way a person likes a bunny rabbit he thinks they're cute that's literally it he has an actual girlfriend and shows no sexual attraction to any of those pics he's looking at
