They got automatically checked.
As for the new ones, they are also automatically checked. It's just you can uncheck it if it's a manga you dropped.

Did mangago get a new update or something? I came back after a month and now there’s the option of “subscribe to this manga” when adding them to your now reading/ already lists.
I don’t think they were there before?
So basically, do we only get update notifications from subscribed ones? What about all the previous ones added to the now reading/ already read lists ?
