Even if it was because of his wife, he still chose to sacrifice himself. I think that alone is a very couragous deed! He didn't choose for Arwin to get gangraped, or at least it didn't say so, and even if he did it was for his son's sake! I get that it may be a terrible and horrible thing to do but his intention was good. He just did it out of impulse at most! And that is if he even chose the gangrape or if he just wanted Arwin out of Anton's life. In my opinion, if my parents sacrificed themselves for me, I would be grateful and think of them as the best parents I could ever have because most parents would rather live than die!
Arnault has been raping Arwin since he was a child. He bought Arwin secretly with the help of the retired prostitute to trick his son and then had Arwin drugged and raped in front of his son “as a good in intention” the fact that you’re defending this is actually insane. He tried to rape is own “son” at some point even too. He’s emotionally abused and manipulated his “son” Anton his entire life. He dies a martyr( and this is sarcasm) and now he’s forgiven of every narcissistic emotionally manipulative action he’s ever done but let’s ignore he put his son in this situation in very first place with all of the disgusting lessons he created? You’ve clearly have never experienced parental abuse or what you think parents are naturally lovely just because? I’m just don’t with this conversation because this is disgusting if you can’t even rationalize a fictional man even with this presented to you being a monster you clearly wouldn’t be able to in real life from the looks of it.

This is a tragedy! It was so painful seeing what Arwin had to go through! How many times must he be raped/gang raped??!? It was too much!!
Th worst part is they had to make Anton witness it! The poor guy seeing his beloved raped by all those beasts!
Also Mr Arnault was a good guy in the end, why kill him off? I was hoping for some explanation and also reconciliation. There was no closure to Anton’s birth and his real identity......
My heart feels unsettled and then we see Arwin locked in a secret room... that’s the best Anton can do for him? Wha...??!
And boom! The end.... I don’t feel satisfied at all
