My guess on how the plot carries out is that the dad find someone else, if the mangaka makes the little girl an adult and then puts them together the main guys gonna be like 50 or something. I don't think the focus is gonna shift to the daughter just based on how the mangaka makes it mainly about the wife and husband relationship. But the girl the main guy was talking to at work seemed interested in him, at least that's what I got from the blush lines, but idk ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
