It's probably because the creeps have mastered how to play and act around adults, but when near whoever they like, or obsess over, they can't keep up the facade and their real face shows. But otherwise, they're the perfect partner anyone would want in the family...creepos... ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

(my mom also did this once. said a guy whom recalled me from high school when i was checking out at a store. she's all "He's cute. you should get his number". meanwhile, i'm like, he was my high school stalker and creep. tried at ever opportunity to drag me off to a corner or to his car. to his bad luck, i had one too many big brothers around that caught and stopped him)
