I've different idea tho. the so called "curse" isnt shown on negatif status, so what if it isnt curse at all but something like disguise/concealment magic or whatnot?
the fact this Alan dude use precious thing like his mom' ring make it even more suspicious. maybe he doesnt hate the MC at all.
idk, but what if the hero only for some reason plotting stopping the MC as adventure?
When I read this, I got a feeling that I have read up to MC encountered Alan and asked the reason why he put curse on MC. Alan also said something like, "it's exactly because the ring is his Mom's memento, that's why he used it as the core to put the curse."
And then after the revealing all the backstory/reason, somehow they decided to fight it out. everyone were rooting for Alan. But MC totally won the battle and everyone were surprised that the one they look down on is winning the fight.
But even so, Alan said, "I don't regret putting that curse on you, so I won't apologize to you." (Something along that line).
And I think MC also answered, "that's fine with me because I also have no intention to ever forgive you."

I am very sure I have never read the raw at all.
But somehow I got a feeling I have read the future story....
I wonder if it was a dream?
