lol high horse? then get off from your elephant my dear. its not my fault when people are posting stuff here, isnt it? why should I not read them here?
btw. when I like somethng licenced- I buy it. and I try not to buy stuff from companies I dont like for example nestle. just grow up ;) and think before talking
If you think that Lezhin is mistreating their artists, what do you think you're doing? Who are you to say anything to Lezhin when you're also mistreating the artist, more than Lezhin actually? You're in no position to tell others that Lezhin is mistreating it's artists when you're doing the exact same thing. And your last line should be directed towards you. Read the comment properly before replying too. You just sound like an entitled hick otherwise.
@mangalover If you're curious, this article is an old story tho so don't let it deter you to buy chapters there if u could, and many artists have taken their cases to trials against l*zhin, resulting in some of them get out of the management, and also get their royalties of their work to be posted in other platform. This had happened long before english version of Yahwacheop released, so i'm sure the author knows this prior to having deals with l*zhin and it did not stop them. Ofc buying the official chapters is the only way to support the author.
People, I really just want to support the artist because I understand that what rhey do is a job and I'm an adult who likes getting pay for my job ,so its the same for them. I don't care if its through Lezhin or any orher site, if you guys have any other site that works better than Lezhin for the artist, please let me know about it. If not, then I'll still use Lezhin couse I believe art should be supported.
sigh* first thing: I 'only' shared an article. I did not say anything wiht my first reply- so it seems you guys think that lezhin treats their artists bad...
when somebody really truly want to know somethng about a company, he/she/it will do research. but yes- I think lezhin is one of the worst companies in this business, they also dont pay their artists even though the selling is good so that the artists cancle their contracts and go on wiht bomtoom (e.g. issues with sadistic beauty). so in my opinon you dont support the artist with buying on lezhin but of course its the legally way. (and this is what the person wanted to know or not?)
when you truly want to support the artist- only the artist- then try to buy (dunno) an autogram card or something.
second: I said kiddo to that person, bec. that person started with an insult- that is childish and not a mature way. we can just have diffrent opinions- but you should still respect the other opinion without insulting. and yep, I dont know how to reply on insults. bec. I dont understand this way of conversation. we can talk, try to 'make my point of view clear' or try to convience the other party.- doing re-search and share my results is not sitting on a high horse. it is what it is- doing research and sharing results. you could try to refute it- you could say the aricle is old- showing me an article that lezhin now is a good company, all the bad news are fake news or something.
third: in my opinion I am not worst then lezhin bec. I am neither a potentiell buyer or the person who upload that stuff so that other persons dont buy it on lezhin.
*side note: I dont even like webtoons very much and like I said before- when there is a story I truly want to read- then I safe up money and buy it.
babe, you're linking that article under a discussion where someone is talking about buying from their platform... it doesn't feel right. Yes, that person may want to know about lezhin more but it's kinda like putting that platform in a bad light (?) you get what I'm saying? You wouldn't want to put your money in where someone treats their employee ( that too a person who you're a fan of ) like that
of course I get what you are saying. (though I dont know, from whom I am a fan?)
if you say 'it doesnt feel right', its ok.
I on my site, I just thought if you want to build your opinion you need to see both sites.
so for me, its still ok - otherwise I wouldnt have shared it.
its still your decicion to buy legally. also to support an author in other ways like asking for 'autograph cards' (or something, thats the first thing what popped up in my mind)

So for what I gather, Lezhin is a LEGAL website and when I buy chapters in there the author will get the money, right?
I just wanna make sure because I don't know the site and I do want to support the artist.
