Thank you very much for your response and also it is a good thing to have an open mind even to our own opinion. After reading some comments here I went and reread some chapters to make sure I did not forget or misunderstood. I am not a teen anymore indeed. This specific manga (after its first chapters) become a little bit better in character building and in presenting some issues in relationships than the average ones. But of course you are right, love is very complicated. It is that this specific story really touched me. First of its effort to be quite serious + great art and secondly because I was Nemu and I wish I had a Maya, not someone who didn't give a damn and just using me. I struggled a lot (to not be insecure, to not get down, to make my appearance better, to not get jealous, to be at ease). As I said it didn't matter at the end since that was not a manga and I was not with a Maya that loved me and had so many good qualities. But ok is a good thing to improve yourself also for all future relationships and mature (with an effort not to become bitter and untrusting). That's why I guess I passionately wrote so many lengthy comments FROM A MOBILE and it is indeed a nightmare
@xryska: Jeez, someone finally said it. Even tho I really hope they can overcome all this crap and create a healthy relationship I just can't stand Nemu the way he is right now. I mean c'mon. If you don't like yourself don't blame someone else for being everything you are not. It's not Mayas fault Nemu sees himself boring and unatractive. You have to work for your own sake to love yourself and simply to be happy. U can't just expect that someone else gonna fix all your issues. This is what I really find immature. I hate pushing responsibility for your happiness on others. It really doesn't work this way in real life. I think Maya is one of the best semes (nit perfecr tho but it makes him even more realistic. Perfect ppl doesn't exist do they?). U can watch how this character is developing from selfish ass to a really loving, gentle and considerate partner. While Nemu becomes more and more childlish, selfish and acts like a damn princess. Demands all the attencion. Good thing abt him is that he realized what he was doing. Still leaving Maya thinking he is just fine bcos he is having fun for sure with his friends and job is just low. He dun even get a glimpse of idea that Maya may be hurt. Like WTF?! How can he be so cold after being close to someone for such a long time. He knows shit abt Maya himself... He doesn't even belive what Naoya-san said abt Maya condition. I couldn't belive my eyes... Someone really should punch him hard... Maybe that would make him open his own eyes and realize he is not damn center of universe and not the only one who can get hurt... I would like to say my comment is abt this story and I do not intend to talk abt anyones personal issues
Say what you like. Nemu did not treat Maya good. If you have insecurities you do not punish the other party like that. He make Maya think that they were over and he really continue with his life "because he was so busy with work" while Maya was unable to function properly. Who should feel more insecure after that? Maya while being possessive he never (in their mature stage) try to manipulate Nemu to stop him from doing something he liked. It would be like he would fight with him over the good relationship he has with some of his students. But he did not interfere with the job that Nemu likes and he trust him. But while Maya found an interesting and fulfilling work and a business partner Nemu started to create problems about of thin air because the business partner told him the thing we all know and even have a saying "love may not last, friendship lasts for ever". If you are not sure about your relationship, if you think you are a boring person, if you are insecure then communicate in a healthy way, don't crash the other person's feelings and disappear. What did Maya did these last months of their life to deserve such a treatment? Who loves more, Maya who is heartbroken or Nemu that while was the cause continues his life quite nice? And I know that they will come back together, but again it will be Maya's actions. Maya lost his financial easy in order not to leave Nemu (as I write in another post if Nemu's mother was the one that found out Nemu would separate from him in milliseconds). Maya was always proud to be with Nemu and wanting him to stay as he is. He didn't mind if his clothes were trendy or stupid things like that. He loves Nemu as Nemu, and does not care about other things. He just wanted to find something interesting and fulfilling for a job and interesting people to do it with. Ruka was clear that he does not have a love interest for Maya. And even if he did where is Nemu's trust towards his partner. Ok you are insecure about you, but what you think about the one you love for a long time. That he plays with you, that he lies, that he is a no good two-timing bastard that will leave you like that? This is the first manga where I really feel bad about the Seme. And if someone say " oh but he forced him when they were in school the first time" then go drink your warm milk kitties. If someone force you to have sex and after sometime when he stops contacting you and you chase after him with lonely eyes wanting him back.... Yeah right. And Maya even apologized and even the never-having-a-clue Nemu said "what are you saying, we are together so if I had a problem how we could be together". Maya you can do better, find someone that appreciates not only your body or your face or what you give them, but also cherish your ambitions and your dreams and respect s all of you
