College, returnee, the handsome and popular ML, the ordinary MC, being roommates or classmates..they are all typical things but they are fine..it's just that usually the author will pick at least 1 thing to be a trademark of the story : like the hottie turns out to be a gap moe, the mc with unusual past/talent, or anything, anything that distinguish this from others...this one feels like it doesn't have anything for readers like me (who loves plot) to focus on. I should know, the title says it all
